Commercial transparency

Understand the fee before the search begins.

The scope of work, sourcing fee, trigger for payment and any other interests must be clear before you commit. A fee should never be discovered after you've been offered a property.

What to agree in writing

01 — SCOPE

What is included?

Search criteria, introduction, deal assessment, viewings, negotiation assistance and post-offer coordination may have different scopes.

02 — PAYMENT

When is it earned?

Confirm the amount, VAT treatment where applicable, payment event, refunds and what happens if the purchase does not complete.

03 — CONFLICTS

Who else is paid?

Understand other introductions, agency interests and any incentive that could affect the advice or property selection.

Pricing depends on the property type, location, amount of work and agreed engagement scope. A fee and its payment trigger should be explained in writing before you instruct anyone to source a property. Contact the team for terms specific to your requirements.

Begin with scope and criteria.
